Laura & Tom at The London Golf Club

Laura and Tom got married at a small chuch in Barnehurst, followed by a drinks reception and wedding breakfast at The London Golf Club.

It was a fairly mild day for December and it was great that we managed to get outside to do a few shots in the low winter light - rare at this time of year!

With only 3 days to go until Christmas, it was very festive with pretty Christmas trees dotted around the venue.

Above is the wedding seating plan, each airmail envelope had the name of the table and the guests on it - a very clever and eye catching idea.

Laura and Tom were leaving after their wedding on a round the world adventure for 5 months, so it was very appropriate that their table names were all the places they had already been together.  On the reverse of the table names were little tales of their time in that particular place.  It was a very personal touch.

We stepped out onto the golf course for 5 minutes for a few pictures of Laura & Tom alone together.

The whole room was lit with candles - I love this picture of Laura during the speeches.

Wedding Fireworks

The fireworks, accompanied by music, were a gift from Tom's parents and a complete suprize.

Anna & Mazhar at Holy Trinity Brompton & The Lanesborough

Anna & Mazhar had a marriage blessing at St Pauls Onslow Square.  The church has recently undergone restoration now mixes beautiful architecture with a well lit modern interior.  Archie, their vicar was really lovely and let me shoot from the alter as Anna walked in.  Anna & Mazhar had the most amazing choir at their blessing and the sound put hairs on the back of my neck.  They were all friends of the couple and completely transformed the service.

The church had these great red doors.  We hung back from the rest of the guests for 5 minutes to get some shots before travelling onto the drinks reception at Church House.

Anna had drapped silver and taupe cloths in the hall and added vases of frosted winter flowers to transform the place into a winter hide away.

Following her speech Anna joined the choir and sung with them to her new husband, it was a really touching moment (and boy that girl can sing!!!)

The Lanesborough Hotel

We arrived at the Lanesborough for dinner.  Anna & Mazhar had these sweet little wooden christmas toys as their place settings - unusual and very festive!

Christmas & New Year...

I am very busy over the festive season, with 7 weddings over the Christmas period.  I will be out and about all over the country from tomorrow until my final wedding of the year on New Years Eve.

I rarely take holidays but this year I'm taking time off in January.  So please note I will be away from 8th January until 27th January.  I will of course still be blogging my Christmas weddings!

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Joy & Tom at Kew Gardens

Joy and Tom tied the knot at Cambridge Cottage in Kew Gardens.  Recognised as the finest gardens in the country, it was a great shame that we did not get to enjoy them as the weather was so poor.  Despite the rain outside, it did not spoil everyone's enjoyment inside!  I photographed Joy's sister at her wedding a couple of years ago and it was so lovely to see all the family again.

What struck me immediately was Joy's attention to detail.  She had obviously taken great care in making sure her colours/theme worked in harmony with the venue.  The beautiful gallery in which we ate had botanical drawings of orchids adorning the walls and Joy had drawn on these for her inspired tables, flowers, stationary and even her dress.  They all worked really well together.

On to the pics!

Rachel, Joy's sister was her bridesmaid and both girls wore orchids in their hair.

Joy's Mum made her dress and Rachel's bridesmaid dress from silk found in Delhi, India (in fact she even made her own outfit!!) - It must have taken months and months of sewing but Wow it was worth it!  I took this shot so we could see that fantastic train at the back.

Lisa & Stewart at Bush Hall.

Pure vintage glamour summed up Lisa & Stewarts winter wedding.  The couple both work in the entertainment industry and a wedding held at the stylish music venue, Bush Hall was the perfect setting for their very individual day.

Lisa looked so stunning in her fifties inspired wedding dress and I LOVED her cute little heart shaped bag and red fascinator.

Their ceremony took place at Westminster Registery Office.

Lots of Lisa & Stewart's friends and families had fantastic voices and they entertained the guests with Karaoke.  Lisa's parents sung Frank Sinatra's something stupid which was a real tear jerker!

For the finale Lisa & Stewart sung I've Had the Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing, which brought down the house.
